SATURDAY - Kaleidoscopes for Kids! - 1pm to 2pm; This pretty kaleidoscope is shaped like a pyramid of glass. Inside we will put seashells and coral or, maybe your child has something of their own that they would like to put inside their pyramid. All the glass is pre-cut with safety tape over the sharp edges. Using strong aluminum tape we will put the kaleidoscopes together. As you roll this delightful decoration over you see and ever changing ocean-side scene. $15 fee includes all supplies and instruction. Organizations participating include Appalachian Peace and Justice, CHAP, Laurelville Community Food Pantry, children in the Dominican Republic, Good Works, My Sister's Place, Habitat for Humanity of Hocking County, Meals-on-Wheels, Geneva Hills, Special Friends, Home Away from Home, and Westminster Preschool. Hand crafted items will be for sale from "Good Gifts," a program of Good Works that includes handcrafted items from "10,000 Villages." Items are made by and purchased from artisans in Third World Countries at "Fair Market" prices. The Youth Group will serve lunch with all proceeds going toward one of the designated charities. Appalachia! is a national, juried photography exhibition that welcomes artistic, personal, and documentary images of Appalachia. This exhibition serves to promote photographers from across the nation, amateur and professional, and will feature NEW work that provides the viewer with an appreciation of the spirit and rich culture of Appalachia, a region that spans 13 states and diverse landscapes. Work that incorporates any photographic process is eligible for submission. Participating photographers do not need to reside in any of the 420 counties in the 13 Appalachian states, but the subject matter must be of the region. Planning a visit to the Hocking Hills State Park? The Hocking Hills State Park is part of a pilot program called "Carry In, Carry Out". This means whatever you carry into the park you need to carry out, all waste and recyclables. Most National Parks have already adopted this policy. Please help keep the Hocking Hills clean and green.

Please advise visitors about the Hocking Hills State Parks' new "Carry In, Carry Out" policy - all waste and recyclables carried into the Parks must be carried out. Help keep the Hocking Hills clean and green.
